Ukrainian Children at Risk

Ukrainian Children at Risk, Their Need and Breaking the Cycle

Building Hope in Ukraine, Inc reaches the underserved communities in the heart of Ukraine. These communities live in smaller towns and villages. Villages are often second-world conditions where indoor water is a luxury.

Most survive by subsistence farming. Often parents turn to alcohol to cope with such a hard lifestyle and end up having their parental rights terminated by the state and their children taken away into orphanages.

Most of these villages have no hospital, supermarket, or church. Their homes lives are riddled with alcoholism, neglect, abuse, abandonment and poverty.

Partnering with the local social services department, our goal is to:

  • Prevent future orphans

  • Share the Gospel

  • Provide for immediate needs

How We Meet That Need

Each month, Building Hope in Ukraine, Inc. staff visit these homes and make reports to Social Services to help meet the need of providing for these children.

We are committed to ending the cycle of poverty and orphan creation by delivering the following:

  • Humanitarian Aid: including simple food packages, school supplies, and other material needs like blankets and warm clothing for winter.

  • Evangelical Outreach

  • Special outreaches such as: Reading Eyeglasses Outreach, Medical/Dental Outreach and others

  • Summer Camp for Orphans and Children at Risk

  • Connecting them to the community through the local church
